SYMBOLS USED FOR TEXTILE MAINTENANCE ACCORDING TO THE APPLICABLE STANDARD

WASHING  
The symbol indicates the treatment of household laundry (hand or machine). It is used to indicate the maximum washing temperature and the maximum machine washing action, as shown in table 1.

DRYING
The square with the circle inside shows the drying in the tumble dryer after the washing procedure, the setting of the maximum temperature is shown by one or two dots placed inside the symbol, as shown in Table 3.

IRONING
The iron shows the process of home ironing and mangling with or without the use of steam. The maximum temperature setting is shown by one, two or three dots, placed in a symbol, as shown in Table 4.

PROFESSIONAL TEXTILE CARE
The circle shows the procedure for dry-cleaning and wet-cleaning textile products (excluding natural hides and furs) by professionals. It provides information on the individual cleaning procedures as described in Table 5.
